Angry rear ended!!!!! panel beater info reqd

got rear ended whilst at lights erindale and reid hwy today. lady behind saw cars goin in green arrow turning lane and thought we could go straight and ended doing my bumper and scratched the boot.

she was cool and i wasnt gonna go off coz had my boy in the back and her kids were in the car. anyway we both covered and rac adv no worries as i got rear ended whilst stationery.

i've searched and concluded BBK recommended but dont know where the shop is located?

can anyone tell me who rac assessment welshpool would normally recommend for there work and if they are any good??? who does the work getting quotes etc??? basically how does it work?? im pretty much central so triangle ozzie park, welshpool and willeton and thats where i would prefer to go for convenience.....

thx in advance

That sucks! sounds like mine, stopped at the red lights and the woman behind me said her foot slipped, she reversed and then it slipped again....delightful people who dont pay attention whilst driving! *end rant*

Anyway's I am with the RAC and have had a few hassels regarding quotes etc (it may just be the person I'm dealing with though as i haven't had any of these problems before) I went and got some quotes and was told after that they will only accept a quote from an approved repairer, possibly common knowledge to some however I had never heard this before.

Just because they are the best/ come highly recommended/ specialise in subaru's etc RAC may not agree to the repairs so best to keep that in mind and maybe give them a call to check it before you waste time getting a quote.

I am deffinately getting it fixed and would if i were these guys too, as it wasn't your fault, its not affecting your excess/no claim bonus you don't have to pay for it and it was someone elses stupidity/lack of attention that caused it in the first place.

If you're not paying for it what's the point in not getting it fixed?

It depends on what you organise with them/who's handling your claim.

You can organise a drive through assessment take a quote with you from the shop you want to get the work done at (making sure its an RAC registered approver) and you should be in and out of there within 10 mins then just book it in to the shop to get the repairs done.

Another option is to take your car to get assessed and leave it with the assessor who takes it to the shop for you (I wouldn't trust them myself, but it's your call)
