Rob did you actually receive confirmation... you might get a letter back from them saying its not acceptable... i tried to get MILEHIGH, it was deemed inappropiate, after i had paid for them etc. So I then had to choose other ones. And as the new law came in as of Feb or Jan this year regarding not having characters that represent the type of car the plates are going to registered to, I expect you just might get a letter similar! unlucky...

Are they going to ring up all the people who have WRX or S13 or similar and ask for the plates back ?

Don't get any of that at all. Did they provide a 1/2 decent excuse about it ?

it's only a new law so any one that has already got plates are ok, don't have to give them back, it's only relevant to plates ordered from now on...

excuse would probably be something to do with copyright laws/trademarks

As for MILEHIGH being knocked back, they simply said the board had deemed it inappropriate and people may be offended by it. I'm a flight attendant so if anyone, I'd be the one to be offended by it haha, but even so was not allowed them.

And the rule is effective of (jan or feb i cant remember its in that thread) so no people that already have them will not have their plates confiscated. You just cant apply for plates similar to those anymore.
