Tyre dressing & applicator
Hey guys, just wondering what some of the better tyre dressings are out there, and if you've used a particular applicator that works well (especially on low-profile tyres). Not really a fan of the aim & spray method...
Thanks all Nik |

I am not a big fan of aim & spray as well. So I jus buy a bottle of the tyre shine, pour it out in2 a container and use a brush 2 brush it on. Less wasted in my opinion as well.

Spray on cloth and apply at will?
When using spray bottles you need to get a cloth and wipe it in/wipe of the excess anyway. I use the tyre polish from this set, and have found that it really lasts:

If you hose your wheels with plastic polish you're going to get that problem, but if you apply, give the product a chance to soak in, re-apply (if needed), then wipe down the excess you'll not have that problem.

Go with a water based dressing and allow the water content to evapourated before driving. Swissvax pneu is one of these but there are ones that produce a similar result at a more budget conscious price. The water based dressings produce a satin sheen rather than a wet look shine. it's a classier look IMO but each to their own. The solvent based dressings seem to be more suseptable to "fling" which could be a by product of their wet look shine.
