Do WRX's have the little sunglasses pocket where the maplights are too? When I get my new headunit & was considering making a longer cord & running it up to there. My glovebox is always chockers with crap & if the car gets broken into thats the first place they'll look. Either that or run a chord to the centre console.

Same setup, Pioneer have some awesome head units for good prices (with alpine you have to buy things like bluetooth support seperate). Its seriously worth spending the extra $$ to get hands free for your mobile phone that is built in to the head unit

Alpine offer a series of decks with built in bluetooth as well as IPOD and USB compatibilities. Bluetooth handsfree is worth spending the extra money and the quality of the most recent systems is far better than they were 2/3 years ago.

hi guys
thanks for all the replies.
My headunit is a pioneer deh-2150ub with usb and aux inputs
I was hoping to use the usb input as wasn't sure if this had some connectivity.
i have just dug out the box and no reference to ipod on there.
when i connect the ipod and 'error 23' appears on the screen of the headunit.
any ideas?
maybe i need another headunit (this is only a few months old) or settle for the aux input (haven't tried that yet)
cheers
Pete

That headunit doesn't have ipod support by the looks of it. just advertise that head unit in the for sale section for $100 and upgrade yours

Pete,
you could use the aux input on the deck and have a charging ipod/iphone cradle. Alternatively upgrade the stereo to something that has full speed ipod capabilities, most of these stereo's should have the ability to charge the ipod when plugged in and the car is on.

Give this Bad Boy a run!
http://alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=34

I have 2 of them (one in the Rex, one in the Landrover).

Full ipod connectivity and navigation (either via bluetooth or the ipod cord), will plug into the AUX at the back of your existing headunit.

Handsfree through the car speakers, with the mic at the top of the pillar....to be honest there's not much this little thing can't do...specially for how easy it is to install!

I picked mine up for $99 each...however now having owned them I would pay much more for them!

On ebay for $129 and free postage...worth every penny!

We have plenty of EX-10's in stock, they aren't very popular because they are a "tacked on" solution rather than integrated.
