The detailer at work uses: Black gloss paint mixed with thinners in one of these spray bottles. Not sure on the percentage of the mix but its roughly 80% paint to 20% thinners. He mixes it up so its just thin enough to spray thropugh the nozzle.

Not sure if that helps?

Stating the obvious but dont spray it on too thick otherwise you will have "runs" in the paint.

I suppose he finds the finish better using this method than just using a can of spray paint?

Each to their own mate, certainly a unique approach.

Prob one of those things where he's worked out its cheaper to do it that way then purchase cans 'buying 60ltrs of industrial black'.
