Default Wedding car ribbon on a rex

Hi im a groomsman in my sisters wedding party this Sunday 17/04, I will be driving to the church in my rex, I will be polishing it and waxing it beforehand. Question is I want too put wedding car ribbon on it, just dont want it too scratch or should I just leave it off? Anyone have any experience or stories as too what car ribbon to buy as I heard it can scratch the S$$it out of your bonnet if not tied on correctly, and if I do tie it on, will there be any problems with the Blue fuzz and the law with regards to visibility? as thats the last thing i need going to a wedding!

Old man uses some of his old cars for weddings. Every time the ribbons have rubbed paintwork they have scratched but we have been able to get rid of the marks.

Now have to tie them so they don't touch the bonnet but doesn't look as good on.

Never had any issues with cops but all depends on the officers emotions at the time. Would hope they would show compassion due to the event

We used Munya's for my sisters wedding and had no problems with the ribbon.

I used 5 wrx's from Perth-WRX 2 weeks ago for my wedding. I purchased Wedding Car Ribbon from Spotlight and I don't believe the guys had any issues with it rubbing on their cars. You would have to ask Rossco, Gordo, Fobz, Farnham or Gary I guess tho...

No issues...even with a long freeway run.

It all depends on the type of ribbon. Have heard that it will scratch the shit out of the bonnet but other types don't.

I put one on my car after having it for only 2 weeks. No marks or scratches.

A regular customer of mine used his new 7 series as a wedding car.

They supplied him with the ribbon - scratched up the pillars quite badly. Ribbon looked to be fairly cheap quality - took a while to get the scratches/scuffs out!
