Default Sub and Amp install

Need to install sub and amp into my bug wagon. Any auto sparkys on here who can do a cashy?

Not entirely stoked with some of the quotes I have been getting from retailers.

Cheers
Matt

How was their workmanship, haven't heard the best things about their installs.

And do you have to leave the car with them, or can you watch it being installed? 18 year olds working at Jb will probably think testing the install means limiter launches...

Hey mate. They quoted me $150 for a sub and amp.

However this was after they tried to sell me a set of expensive 6x9s insisting they would easily fit in my rear doors. I wasn't sure on this so I spoke to another guy in there who said it would be a nightmare fitting them in a wrx and suggested just running a sub and amp with the stock speakers for a start.

Was it a solid job?

Have you thought about contacting Macey (BUMPSTOP) at Westside in Cannington? Getting it done through a professional store certainly has it's benefits.

For instance what if something when wrong and you needed to contact the installer/ Business for warranty purposes?

Most shops may cost a little more but quite often they cover a lifetime warrantly on installation. Worth every cent imo.

... or better yet stop being a tight-arse and pay somewhere reputable to do the job. The last thing I would do is give the job to a shop where their salesman recommended putting 6x9's in the doors.

$150 isn't all that expensive. Alternatively do some research and reading and do it yourself. It's rewarding, and you won't release those moths from your wallet.

edit: somewhat beaten by Haydn
