Default intercooler "burn"?

hey all

any suggestions for removing the intercooler ugliness shown below?
looks like a burn, was there when i got the car but ive seen it enough times now to wanna do something about it

there could be a leak in one of the capileries, perhaps oil vapour is getting out ?
unsure without better quality pics

I could only suggest you cruise around to Revlimit Motorsport in Cohn Street, Carlisle. Lee will look and give you your best options for free in 60 seconds. What this guy doesn't know about Rexs hasn't been blueprinted into the cars yet.

considered spraypaint creepin, wasnt sure if it would impact flow
had the intercooler off on the weekend, its just the surface from i can see
gonna attack it on saturday with some metho and a pipecleaner
