Best thing, if you don't like it just peel it off, if you love it, leave it on and save for a real paint job/powdercoat etc.

Have a look on NASIOC....heaps of guys do it, even to wheels long term with no problems....and it looks great.
It looks especially good on those small exterior trim pieces, like the gay chrome boot handle thing on the newer Subarus The only reason it hasn't taken off here is the ridiculous price of the cans...they are a few dollars over in the states... Although i'm assuming that plastic dipping track wheels would be a no go due to the heat...can anyone clarify?

They are also most probrably applying it with a paint gun, not striaght out of the rattle can which im guessing you intend to do? Also reading more into it, the really good jobs are ding layers with fine grid sanding inbetween.

Plasti Dip How to and Tips - for those brave enough
This may help when you do your bonnet. Seems fairly hard, keen to see pics when you complete it.

Reminds me of the scene in The Jackal where bruce willis is changing the color of his car.
Inc more illegal activities because descriptions of cars will be "It looked like a bright fluro pink skyline but had no number plates" next day pink car is black. |

plastidipped a heap of things including couple sets of rims, albeit i never sprayed it out of a gun but it's not half as good as it sounds out of a tinnie thats for sure.
$40 a tin (takes about 4 tins to do a set of rims well) and the finish is worse than powdercoating and pretty much on parr with supercheap auto spray packs....... i guess its good if you are full of regret though and want to peel it off later on (since it requires no prep and peels off whenever you want in one big hit) good for badges and small things though... would powdercoat over plastidipping rims in future though, same money and a professional good finish that wont ever fall apart.. and less DIY.
