Default Rock and a hard place

So I'm in a bit of a situation.. I bought a car for a project and the kid that owned it crashed into a kerb, and twisted the boot but no damage to the chassis rail. The passenger rear door doesn't shut properly and has a gap in between the door and pillar (pictures in my albums)

The panel beaters in hedland are very expensive got quoted $7500 to get it fixed!! And the car isn't worth that to me as much as it hurts to say it.

Now the question is.. Is it worth getting fixed, doing a shell swap out or selling it for spares.

Has anyone had a similar situation or any suggestions any help is appreciated.

Cheers

cheaper to reshell into same year gx imho, make sure you label eveything and take pics of how the loom passes through the body, makes it shitloads easier

not sure of your year model, but something like this could be used:

Yeah the pillar above the door has a slight crease in it and around the door pillar. The upper strut housing has been pushed up a little but not cracked. It seems easy to do if you know what your doing. Which I don't haha

Yeah strubaru that's what I'm thinking. It's a 97 gc8, the only thing is getting the shell to hedland without having to cut off an arm and leg
