Default Quick, Cheap and Easy Rim mod!

For those of you interested, It was decided over the long weekend that the 17"s on my brothers Calibra would look "fully better" if they were the latest craze black with polished rim...
For the cost of a can of black spraypaint from supercheap and an arvo's work... the results are awesome I reckon... we followed the instructions out of an old autosalon mag issue from memory...
It obviously isnt gonna work on every style of rim but in this case... definitely looks tha bomb!

looks good... hope it sticks.. did u do all the right things.. and finish with clear coat etc etc.. did u have to sand the rim back at all ??

yeh my mate did that not long ago aswell. nvrenuf: when my mate did it he just used 1 scourer for each rim just to get it clean and to get any sealent or clear coats off. il post some pics of his rims if someone can tell me how.

We did sand the wheels before paint but haven't clear coated them yet...
We haven't sanded back the lips yet so they are still a bit dirty... but here is a closer up shot:
