Default Centre console question

Hi all.
I have an 04 sedan and I'm looking at replacing the back part of my centre console. (The bit that goes over the hand brake and has the storage compartment). Can I get just this bit from an 05+ sedan or do I need to replace the whole thing.
Cheers

Yeah it does come apart and you can just change the back section of it.

Can you get a bigger lid for it so it acts as an arm rest for an 03/04? The OEM ones are so low down haha, I like to lean on something, as far as I know the foresters have ones that you can lean on, not sure if the kids are just interchangeable?

I bought the lid extension kit for my 06 from Japan Parts. I think it was around $160 landed. While it gives you the height it doesn't give you much more storage as the extra box is quiet shallow.

Ohh really? Might look into that

Storage isn't really a factor for me to be honest, I have nothing in my car, I enjoy it clean haha, I'd just like something to rest on

Used to have a VY SS, fwarrrrk comfiest centre console and stock seats imho, the driver's leg room was also amazing, could spread those legs and chill as much as you want, and no I don't mean spreading to put out, you could actually sit there like a guy who doesn't give a fuck whilst driving, already sounds like 80% of Perth drivers

The extension kit will be perfect then. You are able to rest your arm on it no problem. My car is in getting some paint work done but can send you a photo on the weekend if you want.
