Default Paint query colour code. GC8.

I've recently resprayed the front Qtr panel due to clear coat issues.
The code listed on the build plate is 95H (refers to Blue Ridge). The new paint has turned out with a purple hue. I'm using rattle cans if it makes a difference.
Regardless of the colour match it's turned out sweet so keen to give it another go if I can match the paint properly.

Its a 08/1999 build date. GC8

Thinking it might actually be Dark Blue Metallic - Code 678.

Anyone in the know be able to shed some light on this?

Who mixed them? The "colour matched" cans from auto shops are hit and miss, all comes down to mixers skill, how accurate their recipe is and what paint condition your car is in

Cheers guys. I'll look into it but not convinced the 95H code is technically correct. There seem to be soo many variations of blues and codes in the Subaru lists.
The grille is a direct match and came from a Code 52D car.

Color matching is nothing short of an art, there's no way you'll get it right without having the car in front of you, even then it'll project differently depending on the angle you look at it and where light reflects off it.

It's why 'edge to edge', can rarely be achieved anymore.

All true and not expecting a pro match. These colours though are just way off.
