Thanks man, that's good of you. Definitely helpful, your right about the grey it isn't part of the current colour scheme but it's no show car so happy to overlook unmatching colours if the price is right.
I bought the car to take the kiddies fishing/camping etc and with the current seats any long trips are just too painful.
So, right seats but wrong colour + right price =win anyway.
I'll let you know how I go. Cheers.

I had the same problem with 97 STI seats in my offroad WRX, they hurt my back and legs after about an hour yet I can drive my Gen 2 Liberty all day and feel as good as when I started driving when I get out.

Yeah cool, hey pimp what year r your liberty seats Edit 98 right? Different to the same year Rex seats?
Also for anyone kind enough to not tell me to go search, are there significant differences between wrx (or liberty) seats 04/05/06/07?
Eg is a 04/05 seat the same as the 06/07 Rex and lib respectively? Fabric desighn/patterns not applicable.
If so what is the plushest comfiest 8 hour drive seat out of the lot? Understand subjective but opinions welcome.
I've hit up the wreckers will be heading there next day or so. I'm already armed with good int but will save me annoying the wreckers, cos they just love shitloads of rambling questions
Also hope it's kosher but I can't access the nmbr for Viny from the Gumtree link above on my phone, signed in but no joy. Sent him msg but might not reply, pref talk to him asap, if it's not haram as fk, could someone please get his nmbr from the ad and pm me, post here if u want but discretion may be preferable. That would be mint.
Cheers for the great help so far, promise will reward all with photos of possibly Perth best hail thwacked bug before long.

Yeah my old dunger is a MY98, most seats are compatible between Subi's as they share the same lower rail pattern, I think they changed the belt mounts on MY97's, I know they did in the Liberty's, Pretty sure RX are the same but different upholstery to the LX and GX, shape and patterns wouldn't match between the WRX/STI and Liberty's

GTB seats are a good option, I'm pretty sure front and rear are interchangeable from WRX to Lib, I know the earlier GC & Gen 1's were, obviously not sedan to wagon.

Thanks Tiigga, I called him but they had already been sold.
I'll look into the GTB option now too. Cheers for the run down pimp.
So happy now I know there is a solution. I did have a bit of a sad after the first little day trip, thinking I'd bought a camping wagon that is going to smash my already smashed back every time we go away.
It's a tight cockpit for me already, so def need a comfy seat.
Appreciate all the help. Will post up the finished solution.
