Good luck with guard clearance with a 9... I think you're putting coilovers on the S204?...rear spring rubbage could become an issue if you can't get enough neg from the top hats.
Gee - definitely no secrets in this town...beat me too it!

Yep my wheels are currently at WW awaiting rubber for fitment sometime next week. ADVAN RZ 17x9, 45 offset ~ 7.15kgs ea will be putting on 255/40/17 tyres or if no fit 245/40/17. I am pretty confident though on 255's. For the GD don't believe having a 9" rim with 45 offset is the problem, more so having tyre rubbing issue. 245 possibly a better fit??

Yeah 245 most likely, but i'll try a 255 to start with, its only for weekend warrior duties, a bit of rubbing never hurt anybody

I have 245/40/18 on my S204 wheels and have no clearance issues. they fitted with the standard struts and have masses of clearance with the KW coilovers.

Hi all, have a bit of a dilemma, I've narrowed my rim search down to 2 rims as seen below. They will be going on a MY99 GX burgundy impreza.

Anyway these are the 2 rims i have found.

$1450 with khumo tyres, I can also get these in a shadow grey colour.

or

$1600 with tyres

What are your opinions? i know its all down to personal taste but I'm at the stage where i can't pick.

Thanks guys

7.5 is do-able mate...so long as you have the correct offset. My new RS rims are 7.5 & +35, they clear my Brembos no probs what so ever. The spoke design also plays a part in determining if the rims will clear the Brembos...

Hope that helps...

I really dont understand all the rim sizings etc. (I know its probably simple, but I just dont get it)

Im looking at a set of rims that have the size marked as 17x7.0. As I understand, this should fit a wrx just fine, but how does it compare to the size of the standard my02 wrx rim? Is it 17x7.5 or 17x7.0?
(I assume 17" refers to diameter and 7.0 refers to the width?)
