Default Waxing

Ok, I'm wandering what you guys use to wax your cars? I'm currently using turtle wax premium series ultra gloss liquid wax. I'm really happy with the results when it's waxed, but it doesn't seem to last long. Like I waxed the car last weekend, and washed the car again this weekend, and already it doesn't feel very smooth. Would be interested to see what you guys have used and your opinions...
Cheers

Basically u get what you pay for! I dont like turtle wax but if your willing to spend a bit more, Try the Megs NXT Gen stuff. Dont get me wrong, that isnt ideal either but its a lot cheaper than Zaino and co (which cost much more but last much longer).

Are you claying before waxing? How many coats of wax are you putting on? With the Nxt Gen stuff, it doesnt get shiney till you hit coat 3 (12-24hrs later!)

yeah, I clay barred it before I gave it 2 coats of wax. How long do you find the Meg NXT gen stuff lasts for?

I find that the meguires polymer sealant keeps the paint feeling smooth for approaching a month if u wash each week

Clay bar gets rid of all the grit and shit that washing won't get rid of i.e. the stuff that is a bit more caked into the paint. I definitely recommend it.

Feral - how long would you say the wet look stuff lasts?

Meh better to treat the car like an indiginous person and never wash or maintain it and then just get a $1500 atec panel and paint special respray. Less effort.
