Default Oil Temperature Sensor

I have. 2002 subaru wrx, im looking to put an
Oil temp gauge in amd was searching to find a clear
View of where it goes ive try looking but the pictures
On there inter net are way to blury, can any one post a picture
Of where it is or tell me rufly where to look
Please help!!

Do you do regular track days? more than 10 laps at a time?

If the answer is no, then dont waste your money.

The oil temp sensor goes in a sandwich plate directly above the oil filter.

I thought that too, but it looks like he typed it on the mobile while whacking one off & didn't even check to see if it makes sense, so I'm not sure.

I have looked above the oil filtre do i have to take the oil filtre of to see it?
What should it look like? What am i looking for?
