anyone know the rough cost of a full dyno tune with a motec m48?

How long is a piece of string?

If you want it done properly, you can spend thousands tuning it...or you can get a basic tune, for around 7-800.

20 paid hours & countless hours home grown tune time and counting.

is that @180$ an hour??!!

mind you I wouldn't be suprised..

Just rang Race Torque Andrew said they don't do Motec.

Good question - I thought Rob mentioned that he was now working up North & Sean's now doing the tuning.

Sean is doing the tuning @ Speedworks now.

He is very good from all reports.

i had shaun do some tune work on my car last week, and -very- impressed with his consistency and ability to spot the danger areas in the map, great understanding of lambda targets and certainly not a 'ghost' tuner like a lot of the clowns out there.

well I'm in the market for some tuning.

the new motor has done 9000km since it's first tune when it was still a young'un..500-1000km??

Have since fitted a turbo heat shield and TMIC splitter and I have noticed the throttle response increase on cold mornings and less heat soak all round.

Car is running rich I'm sure, comes on good down low but from 6000 up it feels like it's just going through the motions. Getting 350-400kms from a tank, smell fuel regularly, black exhaust...

cold start needs some work, hunts sometimes, especially when cold on very light throttle opening...

I think theres more power in it and some drivability to come.

Who would be the best guys to see about fitting and setting up an Apexi AVCR?

who would be best out of mms and west racing to install my unichip and boost modual.

do mms do unichip?? i think its psi, formaz or west racing.

Psi... mmmh i heard he can be a bit to eager and not so safe is this true ?
west racing never been there but they sound ok from when i spoke with him

If you guys had to choose between Glen Baker and Sean@Speedworks, which one will you go with for a M800. From checking the wiring to getting the tune spot on?

Also does anyone have info (work quality etc.) on Warrick from West Racing?

heard tim slacko at west racing is tops with the uni chip!

i got my motec fitted and tuned by westracing would highly recommended them

and NVRENUF westracing for unichip

yeah spoke with tim slako he seems good.. i have my unichip and boost modual harness every thing ready to go sitting in front of me just gotta get a day off to get it fitted now.cant wait..

he said $500 to fit and tune.. that sound ok ?

Ok I'll drop Tim an email and see. It'll be good as well since he sold me the M800.
