Below is an Apexi AVC-R fitted on an EVO 8 before the WRX/EVO Cruise last week.

Step 1: Apexi Boost Pressure Sensor fitted:

Step 2: Apexi Boost Solenoid fitted to factory solenoid location:

Step 3: Apexi Boost Solenoid hose plumbing (actuator and pressure):

Step 4: Connect wire harness to pressure sensor, solenoid and plumb wiring to ECU passenger side and wire to ECU. The Evo 7-9 have the ecu conveniently located tight under the right side of the glove compartment with a handy pastic cover:

Ok now to the AVC-R tuinng screenshots.

Main menu selection:

Sensor/Info meter selection:

Digital meter:

Peak Hold function which I use to monitor boost and duty for both on road and dyno tuning:

Analogue display (2 meters a time only):

Boost Tuning Options (Apexi AVC-R also has Fuzzy Logic self-learn):

2 settings A+B plus scramble boost --- all at the touch of a button and external switch for scramble boost:

Although this install was done on an Evo, the below boost-gear ratio is a treat for the Subaru EJs as it allows me to totally rid of the restrictor in the factory plumbing:

The Apexi AVC-R is so versatile - boost can be set RPM sensitive easily:
