Totally! But the year before he won he was a crap rider! Then he pulled it all together and is untouchable.

Also Hayden is a very lucky WC. He was given that championship.

Also Rossi sucks. haha

On the total contrary.

I just spent 10 minutes looking at qualifying times set on the bikes between years.. so when they are being driven to their max

The Honda on average in a second better than it was

The Ducati in most cases is as slower, and slower than it was in 2007, the first year of the 800cc bikes.

Webber although a very capable driver, has had a long history of blaming the tools and teams for missing the boat. Recent years with RBR and the wins with Seb seem to have him cross examining his own performance in front of the media. Or perhaps that's just maturity in the sport. I'd place him as an outside chance on a 2nd place for the championship. I think the best he can offer now is support to a new Aussie contender. Just hoping Ricciardo gets a decent shot at F1.

The Ducati that Stoner won on was an animal, it bucked and veered all over the track when he was pushing it as hard as he possibly could (and reaped the rewards). No other bike on the track was like it, except for the other Duc. The rest were much more smooth and controlled, almost tame in comparison. Look at the time difference between the 2 Duc's back then to see just how good Stoner was/is.

Fast forward a few years and Rossi just does not seem to be pushing the Ducati as hard as Stoner used to. Whether that is the bike being completely different/tamer than before or the fact that Rossi isn't pushing it around the track as hard as Stoner used to i dont know.

It's almost like comparing Button (Rossi) Vs Hamilton (Stoner) on the same equipment. Button is so smooth around the track, just like Rossi has been his whole career, where-as Stoner was like a wild man, a bit like how Hamilton has been as of late.

I'd still say Stoner is the better Rider, just the same as i would say Hamilton is the better Driver. But over the years it shows that smoothness and consistency is the key (Rossi and Button)

Anywho, start up a motoGP thread if we want to discuss this any more possibly? Im done

^ so you are arguing that the guy we say is slower on said bike is slower in qualifying?

And that the guy that we said was faster is now on average a second faster?

What point are you trying to make teejay?
