Hamilton shouldn't have bothered defending the corner as hard as he did - his tyres were shot & he should have just let MAL have it rather than defend till the death for no justified reason. Both he & MAL fucked up.

He is a racing driver fighting for the WDC - giving up positions is simply not what drivers do.
RUSSGT likes this.

I think its fair to assume that you arnt going to get rammed by a guy coming from off the track.

He has every right to defend his position fairly, which he did.

There was a whole heap of passes made there cleanly, also a heap of people pulling out of passes when they saw it was tight

Only one fuckhead decided ramming the guy was the way to go

Ive seen people hold off cars lap after lap with rooted tyres. Why would you give up a place? If Mal doesnt have the skill to pass properly whats he doing out there? Web didnt run anyone off the road and made lots of passes last night.

Whilst I don't think Hamilton should (or could) give up a spot, he knew his tyres were gone and it was only a matter of time. Let him pass, receive fewer points, but a lot more than the 0 points for crashing out.

Hard to say as a die hard Mclaren fan, but given how tight this season will be, any points will matter.

Epic Race. Pastor should've yielded. Wheel ditch was awesome by hammy though. Alonso storming through the field was great. Hoping for a lead fight post safety car turning into a reliability race was an awesome turn of events. MSC on podium YES! Webber great outcome in championship points thus far.

Especially when Vettel is banking Zero points and Alonso is filling up the max.
