I'm far from a Vettel supporter. But he brought back some old skool passion to win. Webber could've fought it off and told the team to jump, but he's a bridesmaid and always will be. Seb diversified. He'll push to win at any cost, gets a slap on the wrist, but he's #1, tell the masses what they need to hear, next race please. Being at the top is hard yakka, give it your all at any cost, and be remembered just as Senna, schuey and prost have.

That's true but by the same token, if vettel took out both cars when passing webber, is that when you say that's motor racing?

I think motogp has it lucky because team orders can't exist.

Makes for shit racing sometimes but I think when another wdc and constructors championship is in the making the "every man for himself" mentality can't fly every race.

Yes it is. It's a gamble. It'll rub people up the wrong way in any case. Team orders hold, its a boring procession, tell the team orders to jump and go for glory, it's a dog act.

Racing is racing, it spices up the series, adds tension and gives us all something to argue about till the next one in two weeks.

Pretty much - see this happen a few times a year, front wing gets heavily damaged, almost always ends up underneath the car like that. I reckon race stewards would have surely deemed it unsafe after a couple more laps anyway.
