True, but you have to admit that its not a good start for the Renault powered teams, especially when you know teams like RBR would have started development for the 2014 car early last year. I mean Adrian Newey etc left after only day 2 of testing to go back to MK to start working on the car, again if there was nothing to worry about they wouldn't have all rushed back.

Also, maybe this is the reason why Lotus decided to skipped this first test completely, maybe they were aware of the issues and would rather save face than have everyone speculating like they are now?

Lotus skipped testing because they failed the crash test....

Testing video from Bahrain.

I haven't payed to much attention to the updates but does anyone know, why Ferrari are running a "sword" on top of the camera mount?(watching it again, they arent the only ones but is the most obvious one) Or why Williams i think it was is running a green light at the back of the car instead of the usual red?

The sword is some testing rig they have, just like when they were running the air matrix on the front wing last test. Probably for some air efficiency thing

The "sword" coming off the FIA camera pod has been used across all/most of the cars during all the testings. It measures airflow of some sort but i'm not entirely sure of exactly what.

The green light indicates someone who does not have a Super License as yet.
I think they need to complete 300 kms to qualify.

Cheers,

Joe.

Williams Martini Racing... If only it wasn't for the ugly nose, that livery is hot none the less

I actually think the side profile of the car looks amazing.

Defiantly one of the best looking cars this year.
