Looks like I wont need a ps3 anymore. The only exclusive I wanted besides MGS4 is now on 360. I'd say its a huge blow to sony because ps3 already has the lowest sales and I know myself and ALOT of other people were going to buy one for the FFXIII release.

Edit, it is coming on PS3 first and then being ported to Xbox for the European/American market. No FF13 on Xbox in Japan...

Yeah just researched it and they are coming on both, just that Square also wanted to make it multiplatform as well rather than Sony exclusive.

Yeh its def on both consoles. The reason they are bringing it to Xbox is to look ater there investment. There arent enough PS3s sold and they can make more money releasing it on both.
And somehow I have a feeling MGS4 will appear on it aswell (like the other MG's appeared on xbox). And those 2 games are the only reason I want a ps3 atm :S
I really hope they bring out some better games because I would like to own one in the future and a bit of competition for microsoft is always a good way of making sure good games are released at decentish prices.

I find your assumption that there are hardly any PS3's sold pretty odd.

XBox 360 Released in 2005
PS3 Released in 2006.

So the xbox had nearly a whole year of sales without competition and they are only 6 million consoles up.

It wont run on WII without substantial loss in graphics. However Sqenix do make FF games soley for Nintendo (Crystal chronicles series) that take advantage of nintendos specialties.

And still even though they were released later the PS3 had the potential to be the quickest selling console ever. Somehow Sony screwed up. I remember thinking when I had my ps2 and xbox that the moment ps3 was released I'd buy it. By the time it came around I just couldn't justify it, but thats just me.

I guess its like Xbox vs PS2, at one point I never wanted an xbox then Microsoft realized what they were doing wrong and it turned out to be an awesome console.

I guess I also go by the fact that I don't know anyone who owns one. I dont really keep upto date on sales just go by the fact I know alot of gamers and none own a ps3, most were going to buy one for FFXIII.

I'm not a fanboy - far from it. I've owned just about every console made and enjoyed them all and I dont see the point in limiting myself to one IF the other has a load of great games and value.

Also the WII is awesome even just for Nintendo made games
