looks ok. maybe upgrade the RAM to 4gb? only costs like $50-$60 for an extra 2gb.
Also, if you want it a bit faster, maybe buy 2 hard drives instead of one. Get a TB one for storage. then get a WD (i think?) Raptor for your OS and programs. the raptors are 10,000 rpm compared to the 7,200 rmp of the bigger drives. i think you can ever get a velocirapter which is faster and smaller but i could be wrong. made a big difference in my computer. computer hardware moves so stupidly fast its not funny!

Maybe go SLi or Crossfire with 2 cheaper cards if ya don't need the twin DVI, run 64 bit and throw in more RAM to 8GB (or as Golding suggested, at least go to 4GB minimum on 32 or 64 bit).
Apart from that, system looks fine. Big plus for the Antec case and Corsair PSU. Quad core is good too, but still not sure if Windows OS have yet to catch up to fully utilise capabilities?

good info thanks guys , ill look into geting more ram (4GB) and the 2 hard drives sounds like a good idea , 1 TB for storage and a raptor for OS
they also offer vista but im not sure if i want to make the change over , might just stick to XP for now unless its way better to use vista?

Microsoft isnt going to stop vista just because a few people don't like it. might aswell get with the times. in saying that, i love vista, but i wouldn't dare run it with less than 2gb ram. ive had it for around 2 years and hate going to my work computer that has XP. alot of people complain about compatibility issues, i have only found 1 program i couldnt run in 2 years. which has now been updated for free.

Totalled to $1300 for hardware (I'm running a Gigabyte 3d Mercury watercooled tower $400) I run vista 32 bit and love it! my Pc runs 24/7 and has done for 18 months now without fail......(will die now I've said that!!) My system runs: Crysis @ 40 fps COD 4 @ 45 fps Flight sim X @ 60 fps All in 1080 x 1920 resolution

You will always be able to build a system cheaper and better than the pre-built ones.
Nothing wrong with Vista, I've been using it since the beta days. All those that complain are whingy bitches who can't be assed learning to click a different button sequence.
