The only way to confirm if the console is a Jasper unit is to verify the 12V power rating at the rear of the console itself.

It will say 12V --- xx.xA; 5V --- 1A.
Now the xx.x will mean:

14.2 amps equals a Falcon unit (65nm CPU, 90nm GPU).
12.1 amps equals a Jasper unit (65nm CPU, 65nm GPU).

If it's a Falcon don't be disappointed, while Jasper is the latest revision, the Falcon has much improved cooling and design compared to the original units.

Hey guys, having fun getting owned in halo3live. wow.

But people are talking to me in the game and menu with thier headset but i cannot reply.

My xbox came with a headset and cord and i plug it into the controller but it doesnt work. i press the d pad down and still nothing. Can anyone help me?

My dog ate my Halo 3 before I could get online with it Its a shame because I owned at Halo 2 on live.

Anyone got another copy of halo 3 they want to off for cheap?

Falcon may have had improvements but have still recorded high rates
of RROD and E74 failures, even the Jasper hasnt been out that long
to see the actual benefits or decreased rates of failure.

Not sure if the Jasper release was a ploy to say its fixed for xmas
sales as there is the even newer Valhalla version that will have both
the CPU and GPU on a single die due for release in 2009.

Time will only tell, its certainly bites when you have to wait to get
your console back from repairs when it should have been right the
first time!!!
