They were supposedly also bringing out GT5 for the PSP. Definately has to be better than the whole need for speed series. Obviously the graphics and engine will be nowhere near as good as the PS3 i.e. wont take anywhere near as long to make so christ knows why they have not released it yet.

Just thought I'd share some news.

Sam from here [REXXXED] was chatting to a guy from a games store recently (forget which one) about this and that, and the guy said that he had gone over to Sydney recently for a big games expo. Apparently there was a playable version of GT5 as far as it was up-to-date.

Reports were pretty amazing. He reckened it was an overall improvement on GT5P, but the biggest jump was the graphics. He said they looked way better than GT5P!! That's promising.

He also said that he talked to some Sony reps and asked them when it would be coming out. They said they were pushing for a Chrissie release.
Personally I would love it, and it would be good for Sony sales if Polyphony could get it done on time, but if history is any guide it won't be done and it'll be out in March/April I'd say.

In any case this is sounding sweet! Get your driving gloves on boys and start making those 'F1 cockpit'-styled set-ups!

The day this is released I will buy a PS3. I am sure that there are heaps of other peeps in the same boat.

Hopefully they launch it with some sort of package deal.

I was waiting for this as well but cracked and bought a PS3 a few months ago. Then of course the slim just came out

I knew the slim was coming, just didn't think it would be so soon.

It's going to be expensive all up, need to buy a G25 or maybe the new G27 wheel and perhaps a stand to support it.

I have a 360 at the moment and am looking at trying to find a stuffed go kart chassis and cutting / welding to accept my wheel setup. Will be some issues i.e. it needs wheels but will not be able to have a steering column so could be interesting.
