32bit OS will not utilise 4gb. Updates may get it to see the extra RAM, but it wont use it.

Vista lies.
It said 4gb (which I knew was BS), but then when I did an update it put it back to 3.25gb.

WinXP x64 is already end of life, means no more upgrades, no more security updates or driver updates for it.

Win7 x64 is really the best way to go.

I used the beta version of windows 7 x64 for ages, and it was fantastic (especially for a beta version).
My only complaint was I couldn't get any burning software to work.
Even the x64 compatible programs shat themselves. Nero essentials 7 was the only one I could get to work, but could only burn dvd's, not cd's.

Nice system, Dan... should be able to handle most of what you can throw at it.

Maybe look at moving over to Win7 when it hits the shelves so you can fully utilise that quad core... XP just doesn't cut it from all accounts.
