What platform you playing on? PC?

T is the key to switch tac light on and off on PC. Just make sure you go into accesorries on the gun and select all the stuff you unlock.

Playing on PC, how do I go into accessories for the gun, right click?

before the round starts, You get a screen with 3 Tabs: Deploy/Squad and Customise. click customise, then Loadout on the profile you want to mess with. Then, go left/right till you find the gun you want.. and click accessories to change what you have fitted on that fun. There will be a little orange triangle in the top corner if you have new stuff unlocked in that section.

Need to customise your load out. Then press the accessories button. then you can play with the toys attached to the gun.

Oh, and please press 't' when using the flashlight to turn it on and off so your teammates don't get blinded.

So I'm stuck here and about to try the answer mentioned below 'reset key bindings to default', and see if that works.

Anyone else having issues with this part of the level?

nvm: did some reading and found if you touch any other key other than the designated key it throws out the entire sequence and you die Rather touchy setup as I like to mash

So battlefield III wont even launch for me now.....Is re-installing the best option or has anyone tried and succeeded in fixing this.
