Mine did exactly the same thing today but it completly stalled was stuck on the side of the road for about 15 minutes. Wound up driving the car home in limp mode and turned out being the afm. Gave it a clean and repaired a cracked solder all seems to be fine ( For now )

Could also be the terminals on your battery mate.. They need tighten espically if you have springs or coil overs.. The clamps come loose meaning lose of power.. My mates did the same thing aswell...

Driving along and it dropped out then came back to life again.. Its pretty bad..

Check your afm as well though being could well be on a winner..

hmm... if ya engine is already running, isn't current drawn from the alternator? and the connection to the battery is irrelevant? or does the car draw current from both battery and alternator? *confused*

mm someone correct me if im wrong, but im sure the car draws power from the battery no matter if the engine is running or not.
The difference being, when the enging is running, the alternator is continually recharging the battery?

You won't lose your tune if you disconnect your battery. The autronic retains the tune. imagine a computer HD, once its saved, you can shutdown anytime you want, the memory is still there
