Just remember that import parts are harder to get hold of and tend to be more expensive. Also think of insurance. I am with RAC and the don't insure imports.

RAC insured my imported Legacy GT. Best price in town also.

Skyline will cost u a fortune in the long run and as if the kms havent been wound back Hardly an ideal drift car too.

WRX isnt made to drift (but the amount of "wrx drifters" out there still seem to to think it is). WRX has cheaper insurance, cheaper to run, cheaper to maintain, cheaper parts etc.

No point going a shitta s13 either as its been thrashed by 15 different owners and will only cause you hassle after hassle. I suppose you get that in any modded / thrashed car thats 15 years old now

Having owned both a 300rwhp 33 gtst and my current wrx, i know what im glad i got rid of straight away! GTST's are just Jap commodores after all!

I watched a documentary on drifting (tokyo drift) and apparently the best drift car is a nissan 350Z. You'll need lots of car park practise

180sx are easy to drift. Not that expensive to mod from the looks of it, fairly lightweight i would assume and the ability to have a fairly decent engine dropped in it. NIssan produce some very strong and robust engines.

WRX if you want speed, beat everyone at launching, handling and cruiseability (not even a word :P)

if you really want to drift, stop following the masses and get an RB30DET VL Calais.

If you want to got fast and safely, get a classic (old shape) wrx. Both are cheap, both have street cred when done up tastefully.

If you have a bit more to spend, swap the VL for an XR6T and the old shape for a new/better built shape wrx.
