Default The Inmistakable Toad Fart

For a while now I've been thinking of getting a new exhaust for my WRX, and perhaps you people might be able to give me a a bit of an idea of what to get. I'm after something that will give me a bit of a burble on idle, and a bit of that boxer grunt when driving, but not loud enough to get the kind of attention I don't want. The car is already running a three inch system all the way though, but the muffler itself must be fairly restrictive. I'm not really keen on cannon style tips, so I'd be more interested in perhaps a high flowing stainless muffler tip. If anyone has an ideas or knowledge or perhaps even images it would be helpful. If I do have to go to a cannon, if anyone has images of them on their WRX or similar it might give me a better idea as to what it might look like. Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure thats what I've got. APS power up kit, which was installed quite a while ago. Intercooler, exhaust, blah blah. Is it very restrictive? Stainless (for the resonating)?

If you have an APS full system, you have a good system....
Just look inside the muffler it should be straight through.....

well it was put on about 4 or 5 years ago, so maybe the muffler has been changed since then. there's just not enough growl!

i'm not sure. I know its a genuine intercooler. but the system might not be. the muffler looks different to the original catalogue i've got. I know the guy I bought it off said it was too loud when he got it, maybe the knob changed it. I don't know, but I don't think 5 inch tips look all that crash hot, too big.

In the shed mate, quiet on idle but certainly loud enough on boost for most people, apparently they are one of the quieter straight through mufflers around but I would hate to hear a loud one.
Welcome to try it out, 250 bucks.
