Default 06 / 07 STi Owners!!

Last week i found out my 07 STi was lacking of engine oil from the dipstick indicator so i added about 1 litre of engine oil from the Subaru souvenier bag. Took it down to Melville Subaru, and they said the seal on the oil filter COOLER is not properly fitted. And theres a chance it wont be warranty because i got my exhaust done and someone have messed around with it.

So i went to complained to the Dealer Principal that there's no way that the exhaust people would touched anything near the oil filter cooler or the cooler itself . After few minutes of argument, they finally decided that it is warranty.

O6 / 07 STi OWNERS, Please check your dipstick oil and make sure that the oil is on the FULL line mark! It could be that your car is leaking oil

It is a brand new car, so maybe checking for leaks wasn't number one priority?

I was told to check my Oil after 1000km because its normal for new cars to use more oil then normal. Have been checking it every week and have only added about 100ml for a top up. 1L is a huge amount to leak out thats bad. I think your right on the Pre-Delivery inspections they just ticked the boxes and autographed it thats it.

no problem with mine and just had service done by City Suby. I check my oil regularly and mine is not using much oil at all.
