too many variables.

dynos and shit.

if you were to dyno the engine and the car using the same machine.

then you would be able too calculate loss.

but since they are different sources ie. subaru claims vs. dyno'ed result on some random dyno, you cant compare it.

Reasonable diff tho

The WRP makes 290hp, i would venture a guess of a bout 320 plus if it were rwd, does Denver have any figures from his rwd days?

DRIVE LINE LOSSES ARE NOT A PERCENTAGE, THEY ARE A STATIC FIGURE, THEY DO NOT INCREASE AS YOUR POWER DOES

That is all

Seeing as we're all throwing random numbers into the hat....
I think the driveline losses are more or less static around the 40-50kW range

thats heaps, i wouldnt think it that much either.
maybe 10kw at the most with an open centre.
more or less if theres mismatched tire diameters, pressures, tempuratures, centre diff tensions etc.

Bout right I would reckon. Subaru claim 206kw for 06 STi. PSI's dyno dynamic dyno put it at 160 at the wheels. Reckon from the differance in the last run on that and the first run on Race torque's Mainline would have been about 155 stock ( No changes although about 9 months had past).

I'm confused...

Are people talking engine horsepower to wheel horsepower losses, or as the thread title indicates RWD to AWD losses?
