Standard exhaust has a restrictor built into it around the size of a 20c coin in the mid pipe section IIRC. Subaru put it there to help with low end power but it is very restrictive when you start to get in the top end of the rev range.

A good flowing exhaust makes a big difference on this car.

Not sure but don't think the verso guys can offer on a MY03 Foz yet, there web site says they support MY01 - MY02 Forester GT SF Series only so you may want to check with them on that.

I've got an 06 XT Foz. 2.5L Turbo
There is heaps of mods for this...pretty much anything that goes on a 06/07 WRX will bolt onto an 03+ XT
Only difference is with the dump pipe...the steering knuckle may rub on the dump pipe if you try fit a WRX dump to an XT but companies like Xforce have this sorted on their new systems.

My list of mods:
BOMZ CAI
Silicone Turbo Inlet
Silicone Y-pipe & Throttle connector
TurboXS Big TMIC
TurboXS BOV - full plumback
MAC 3 port Boost Solinoid
IHI VF34/P20 Turbo with HPC coating (This is being fitted up now)
HPC Coated Turbo Heat Shield
HPC Coated Xforce Dump pipe with custom splitter
Xforce 3in system with Oval Single Tip TBE
Walbro 255l/hr fuel pump
Xede Piggyback Processor
Process West Splitter to suite 02STi bonnet scoop
MRT BMC brace

Currently sitting on 180wkw with a banaid tune while i get a boost creep problem sorted with the new Ported P20 housing on the VF34.

So there is heaps you can do....the XT is a very practicle car also especially if you have or intend to have a family.
Down side to the XT is that we don't get the 4 pot brakes like the Rex.

Cheers
John

x2!!! gtrydaz.com FTW.

Wrx's, especially perth ones, are good for parts and pwrx members have a fair bit of knowledge on the ole ej and associated bits.
