Yeh... hopefully BALISTC can help me with good prices.

Another n00bs question, does DBA 4000 series need a special brake pad (ie. Ferodo 2500s)? I mean, is it ok to get DBA 4000 without Ferodo ? Kinda worry about the price of DBA4000 + Ferodo 2500s + labour

Cheers
Gerry

Yea as long as the pad fits the caliper you could use anything you want. People suggest Ferodo cause it's a proven combo

Why would you buy a wrx if you drive like that? No fun at all under 4.5k rpm

I just replaced mine at 67,000 kms. They were rather low and were a little warped but this was mainly due to the bendix ultimates the previous owner put on the car. As others said, aftermarket pads tend to chew through stock rotors.

So yeah I got myself some dba 650's for $160 each (I don't do track days or anything so the 4000's would have been overkill for me).

i have no idea what model my front brakes are all i know is that they are slotted..

whats the advantage of cross drilled and slotted over just slotted?

also what is a good dust free brake pad(im over scrubbing the rims lol). I found some good brakes for my TRX that were dustless.. but they definately wouldnt be suitable for the Liberty.. what can people recommend?

Cross-drilled keeps the rotor cooler, slots keep the rotor face clean of brake dust and prevents polishing of the pad.

Cross-drilled is bad for track related applications as the holes tend to increase the risk of cracking. Fine for the street though.

All round if you can afford it, helps to iron out the brake bias. But, if your like me and you don't track your car the money is probably better spent elsewhere. 90% of your braking power is in the front.

I only upgraded to slotted as I needed to replace the rotors anyway, so I thought I may aswell get some slotted ones for not too much extra
