Default GC Model ....GD Model.....GM Model??

GC8 and GD8 we all know, but what is a GM8 model? is it a special code given to 2 doors only?

As far as i know there were 2 GM8 model WRX's they were the:

Subaru Impreza 2.5RS Coupe 1999 (GM8)
Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version 22B 1998 (GM8)

I could be wrong and there could possibly be a few more

Okay then. Seems like GM model are referring to coupe.
Well now you know 3....the WRX STi V5 coupe is also a GM8 model. Been trying to figure out why my car's VIN number is a GM instead of the commonly known classic GC

Thanks for your input!

Never heard of GD8 - I assume you are referring to the current models from 01 onwards?

I thought it was GDA, GDB, etc...

The yanks on Nasioc refer to their coupes as GC6 too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_VIN_codes says:
G Impreza
M Impreza Coupe

but that strikes me as VIN codes for the USDM as opposed to ADM/JDM
