If its just a small leak causing the problem your car should still bost the same but the turbo will be spinning a lot faster to get the same boost. So the loss in performance is minimal but the noise is increase.
Definitely recommend you going over all your piping with a fine tooth comb and checking for leaks and bad clamps.

Yup am confident there is a leak...
In regards to the amp i found the rear of the car has absolutly feck all current going through it, seems as tho the wrx is poo for earthing hah, all sorted amp is back on and running. The BOV spring seems dodgy and is not releasing properly hence i am getting a bit of flutter time for a new one methinks. Cheers for the help ppl
