Did the workshop also recommend you get an Aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator as well to compliment the HKS extractors ?

Yep your right mate just buy anything and everything the workshop tells you you need . except your probably the kind of bloke that buys china mods and thinks there genuine.

says the man who recommends HKS headers.
which i might add are fundamentally flawed due to their oversized diameter pipework and ineffiecent 4-1 unequal pipelengths. laggy and no-top end carry of horsepower- fantastic.

If you read my first post properly i didn't recommend the HKS headers i was just say or stating what a workshop i have been introduced to said and there views from past experience on them if i was going out to look for headers or performance parts i would be more inclined to believe a motorsport workshop over a sales add or the net who's just selling there item.seeing as more places are selling china replica's now. they can get away with the average person not noing what there looking at or even want .
And as for the laggy side of things there only gonna be laggy if you dont have sufficient mods to even need headers . And seeing as the standard ones can handle more then enough for the average mods people just see them as more exhaust pipe to replace because it's a standard part and must be reducing there power which isnt really so. |

could it be that the workshop gets a high comission so they advise hks???

That could be so. It dosent really worry me what brand or how much they cost as long as an improvement is noticable and the quality is good i couldn't really care. But there's always a happy medium. spending the money on a decient brand is definetly the way to go.
If someone can show power figures of different types that would probably help anyone who's interested . |

My X-Force headers are: - Good quality (for the price I paid, they've withstood a lot of antilag and have lasted a couple of years). - Provided a good boost in power (noticeable mid range and top end improvements). I wouldn't change to any other type unless I had to, because the X-Force headers made a noticeable improvement and the quality is good. |
