I was at the auction with Pete and his old man. The only bid they took from the floor was for $1000 and then the net went crazy.

Assuming you could have got it for around $5500 (with buyers premium) and assuming you dont put much value on your own time (and have heaps spare) and are happy to deal with the low thieving public then you probably would have done ok out of it.

My logic was pay $4000 for it
Keep the box, turbo and brakes for me.

Sell the rear diff $500
doors $500
get the rims fixed and sell them $1000 (nett)
interior $500
Stereo $200
Exhaust $500

Send the heads off to headtorque and get them to have a look at them and decide what to do with them from there.

Have a look at the motor once it was out of the car and then bin everything else.

I was talking to pete and I think the hardest thing would be when you bit the bullet and said enough is enough and got rid of the thing. I would hate to have a half stripped shell sitting in my shed in 12 months time.
