Hi guys, i'm new to this forum. Reading this with regard to insurance, i can relate. Im 23 with an MY02 WRX, and previously been insured with RAC since i got my license with several vehicles between then and now, such as XR8 Sprint, MY98 WRX, XR6 Ute, Nissan Patrol and a VT Senator and they were happy to take my money then.

When i bought the 02 rex, the RAC wouldn't insure me because i had ONE speeding fine for one demerit point, said i was to much of a risk, so after a fairly heated arguement with regard to the amount of money i had paid over the years, and the fact i had never made a claim, they were politely told to jam it.

i went to just car, they were extremely helpful, i pay $1,150.00 p/a (they don't do monthly payments), and my excess is $850.00. That is fully comp for $32,000.00 (providing it's kept in a locked garage, which goes without saying anyway). They will insure you regardless of how many speeding fines you have, the only thing they stipulate is that you can't have lost your license in the past three years.

Worth a try, and i will never ever insure with RAC again for anything.

I've had relatively good insurance quotes in my time.....

1st was an R32 GTR - $1500 full comp with RAC insured for an agreed value of 35k.
2nd was an 05 STi - $2750 full comp with JustCar for an agreed value of 60k.

Just have to keep shopping around man!

(Dont know if youve found insurance yet....I cbf'd reading all the posts haha).

Best of luck!
