say your car was staying here for 3 or 4 weeks in WA can cops defect your car ? like tbe bov etc etc?

I would say yes... regardless of what state you are in most defects are the same wherever you go. I know from experience in Sydney you would get pinged with those mods if pulled over for a random check.

they can give you a yellow sticker. But unfortunately for them, IIRC it wont be enforceable on a SA plated car.

I got pulled over in NSW when i drove over from WA... he started going over my car, realised i was from Perth, decided he couldnt be assed with the extra paper work and let me go on my way.
