Quite honestly dont know John.

I know for a fact Steve's, Tolleys and one other silver one will be genuine race vehicles, hence deserving of the rego.

Others could just be buying now and sitting on them till compliance becomes available.

The guys that are dodging the system and getting unwarranted b-reg are the guys that will fuck the privilige.

I'm not a guru on the RAWS rules etc, but i didn't think you could do that?

Also not long ago saw a GT3 down there , the owner started it and this thing started pissing out smoke like fuck , thing is dead .

Porsche's apparently do that, I remember Paolucci's 996 TT used to do the same. Something to do with the dry sump.

I brought my V3 STI RA in on B reg etc. The system is quite involved. Import approval from DOTARS etc. Have to show race history etc cams lic. So to get the import they have jumped through quite a few hoops. But once its landed and rego'd you rely on the owner doing the right thing. WA has the most relaxed B rego regulations of any state, also I think we are the only state that doesnt have a special number plate that identifies the car as a B class rego.

So as not to contaminate the thread spotted a Silver GC8 in Bunbury on Tuesday with what looked like a 22b wing in silver with gold alloys, and it belly was lower than Brian Bourkes!

Totally agree, but it seems people have been doing this somehow on advice from Prestige and J-Spec.

The only way I can figure is that the Dealership imports the car on behalf of Joe Blogs. Sells him the car then Joe Blogs heads to his local DPI inspection contractor says " Heres my 2S cams Lic, The import papers etc fromZ-fraud imports, please rego as Class B" As long as it is Road legal i.e tyres, noise etc its through. The checks and balances are at the import stage not the WA rego stage.

Also Spottydog the GC8 looked great. Sometimes the big wings on GC8's can make the wheels look like 13"ers.

I have noticed a Dark Blue CG8 in Bunbury as well with Prodrive looking gold alloys.
