i have the subau tech guide for clutch bleeding and used it on saturday, involves removing the slave and then clamping the rod in, then holding it above the reservoir, then you can bleed it with the nip to the sky, shoot me a pm with your e-mail addy & i'll ssend it through to ya (pdf format)

i would give dougs way a bash though, wish i'd read this on friday

Doug's way is MUCH easier than the Subaru tech guide way. No unbolting of the slave cylinder. And much less chance of air getting into the lines.

I did it yesterday with Doug's method. Took me 20 minutes and clutch pedal came up first try. Feels better now.

yeah, took me about 2 hours with a mate FTL

another great innovation by subaru hahahaha

i'll be doing it dougs way if there is a next time

Found my prob last night. The retaining clip on the thrust bearing wasnt sitting into its fingers so was doing sweet FA. Had to pull motor and box out to fix it. Bought a new thrust bearing today to be on the safe side and will put it back together tomorrow arvo...
