Default Anti-Lag / Rot-Idle Options For DBW 07 WRX

ok i'd like to have Anti-Lag / Rot Idle, But have a Drive By Wire 07 WRX, what are the options? i have no need for anything fancy ECU wise, so the cheapest option will do.

Thanks

Chris

Well im happy to be the first to say: you don't need them.
If for some reason you still want them, you need a MoTeC or an Autronic. Or, convert back to drive by cable (pedal assembly, throttle cable, inlet manifold with DBC throttle body and replacement ecu) and then use an aftermarket ECU
Not sure if the LinkG3 supports Drive by wire

Don't think the G3 does Matt.

Cable throttle is an open chequebook job. Looked into this with mine and it seemed too hard - Unless you can get hold of some Spec C gear - Even then, $$$$$.

Edit: Forget doing anti-lag cheaply. It's going to cost you to set it up, and more than likely cost you in damage/increased wear and tear.

motec + dbw = arm antilag, 50% throttle turns antilag on, keeps rotational idle on for 60 seconds than shuts it down, repeat or disable antilag.

And the reason you would want antilag and rotational idle (and nothing fancy ECU wise) is??? Perhaps you're planning to go gravel rallying in it?

In summary...convert to cable - too much stuffing around and $
Autronic... supposedly to be released "soon" (Autronic "soon" = 1 to 3 years)
MoTeC... have it available but from all reports it doesn't work all that well on DBW Subarus
Pectel...will probably have something available

Of course all the above will cost big $....maybe your best course of action is to get an "Antilag-sounds" CD and put an external speaker under the rear bumper and there you go!

Sean is working on it with the motec technician; having some sort of phone conference while working on the car at the same time.
