Default tyre shop hurt my wrx

Given I was busy this morning I left the car to get a couple of new shoes. I assumed said shop would not be too interested in a bug-eye rex as its nothing to special these days.... wrong.

They have absolutely killed my clutch it is slipping in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. While it was on its way out already I dread to think what they did to the car.

I have no proof, so all I can do is take it and get a new clutch. Dread to think what they do to nicer cars!

Go see them! Explain to them that u understand it was tired but they have thrashed it!If they REALLY hurt it more, then i'd expect at least 50% towards a new one.

They will just deny it and you can tell them till you are blue in the face and they will just say prove it......
My mate recently rebuit Torana dropped a valve while his mum was driving it, after that we checked the tyres and sure enough less tread........
The managers at these places don't give a fuk unless it is the product which was installed at their workshop, I will always wait now depending on the workshop or sit around the corner, cos really there is no reason they should have to drive the vehicle when putting on new tyres, thats why they balance them off the car,
Do you know how many K's they put on it? You might be able to use that to your advantage........

Could have just had someone driving it who cant drive. The number of people who i see driving cars that dont take their foot off the clutch as soon as they are moving is amazing...

Though you did say that the clutch was on it's way out. So it was coming sooner rather than later anyway.
