thats where I got mine from. I think I paid $74 including the brass fittings a year or so back. Doubt it would be over $100 these days.

yeah, what he said.

and it was Vyper I bought the turbo from. Good turbo mate.
I decided on this turbo because its something different, but not too much of a gamble as its not too dissimular to the VF34.

and yeah, that Mac port sounds right, I remember Nick saying it was about $150. I wouldve normally got them to put it in, but they had NONE in stock unfortunately. On order

Driving the car is a VERY noticable difference, and I love it

Got any info that a 43 flows more? Every bit of information I have found has said the opposite.

Both turbos are meant to have the same internals, P18 housings, just that the VF34 is ball bearing and the VF43 is thrust bearing.

Personally I doubt you would notice the difference.

Will find out on Thurs!

My previous Verso tune netted 223HP on the TD04L, which means i'd only need to get an extra 16.9HP from the VF34, which i reckon it is capable of much more than +17HP over my existing setup.

Either way though, nice work, always nice driving out on a clean tune with more power.

I'd say without a larger TMIC its a bit hard to compare this graph to any others yet. Whist good results, someone will always get more.

I'm more curious on information on the VF43 as I was going to purchase one myself.

Maybe I should look at the VF48...

Agreed - You wouldn't notice the difference.

I was going off the IHI turbo specs in the mechanicals sub-forum which have been updated from the last time I checked. They prove ur point:

VF34 BB, PZ18 ex.h/47.9mm c.h/6+6b c.w/0.63 A/R - JDM V7/V8 STi RA Spec C
VF43 TB, PZ18 ex.h/47.9mm c.h/9b c.w/0.63 A/R - OZ/US MY06-07 STi

My bad.

I would have expected a little more than 176KW from a VF43 @ 18psi? .. I'm hoping for 185-90kw @ 19psi on the 34 with supporting mods.

Maybe the ASG dyno is low reading? Don't think so though as it read 160~KW for a nicely tuned TD04 which is about right.

Yeah, hopefully it will only take a few weeks for me to get the money together to get a BOV and the Mac3 port or what ever it was and obviously to give it back to Sean to re-tune. (Im assuming the wait to get it tuned will be a while)
He reckons should be able to bump my boost up to 21 - 22 psi. (its 18 now)

He seemed to think it would be ok

In the end though regardless of turning up the psi or not, I need to get the better cooler on it anyways, it all helps.
I want to get an STi scoop as well, get some better airflow. Any ideas on somewhere good to get one would be appreciated.
