Seriously the amount of unfounded banter on a car thats been on the market for a month is amazing. It's a great car (we're all here because of them) with pro's and con's - new car with a 3 year warranty - if for arguments sake, the engine mount was a potential issue, its covered, by warranty.

If you intend on pushing the envelope be prepared for failed components. Its nothing new and cant be second guessed - thats modifying in its purest sense.

Just to clear up these crappy fuel rumours, in the US their 91 rated fuel is equivalent (read exactly the same octane rating) as our premium (95-96) and their 93 is equivalent to our 98, so they basically have the same fuel choices as us... Japan on the other hand, have better pump fuel available.

you are correct.
i was under the impression octane measurements were an international standard, which they are not.
further research reveals the following;
Quote:
The RON method of octane measurement is not used in the United States. In the US, a different method entirely is used, called the CLC method.
91 RON octane is equivalent to 87 CLC octane.
