for WRX's can ya only fil bp ultimate because i dont find that fuel that good sometimes i can get awesome batches and other times its shiat. i have heard from many people that CALTEX VORTEX is pretty damn good and better then bp ultimate. whats the octane rating on that fuel and what ya say about fillin that up in a wrx wid some mods?

Apparently vortex is 98 ron altho I've never put it in my car.

BP U98 is the only 98 ron fuel in WA.

Thats what I thought. But apparently ~4 months ago they began replacing the 95ron vortex with 98ron at selected servos.

I can't be sure tho, becuase I never buy fuel from caltex .

Vortex is the premium unleaded. The 98 octane Vortex is Vortex98 (V98).

Ive been to a few Caltex stations and have not seen the 98 Vortex. Is it available? and where?

Ultimate 98 is definitely the only 98 RON fuel available in WA.
Vortex is 95-96. No Vortex 98 in WA.

I manage to get at least 20-30 kms extra out of Vortex than Ultimate for some reason. Very strange.... especially seeing as Vortex 99% of the time is cheaper than Ultimate around the Balcatta area. Haven't had a bad batch of it in the past three weeks of filling up on it.

so u rekon the vortex is the way to go?
