Also used CEVA last year to transport my Evo to QLD and get a car over here in return, no problems at all and well priced.

Used CEVA in the past and had no problems with them. Currently waiting for a car to arrive form Brisbane using CEVA again - service has been good so far (car appears to be tracking on time). Arrives Monday

Bumping thread.

6 months on, is CEVA is still the company of choice? Quotes were depot / depot 1800, door / door 2g. Anyone done any transporting lately?

Also just confirming they dont drive the car, (anymore than on/off truck), and vehicle will sustain no damage, be clean, not have stuff stolen, etc etc?

Brent.

not sure about if they drive the car.. i am guessing you would have to leave the keys with them so they can move/steer the car onto the train/truck??

had a friend get a car from over east few months back, he used CEVA and he said they were great

p.s. what happened to driving Brent

Just had my R32 brought over from Melbourne using AutoTrans for $1500 (enclosed truck) Depot to Depot. No issues to speak of, which in my books was great. I dropped the car off at the Depot in Melb, they drove it around the back, would have loaded her into the truck, and then driven her of the truck when they arrived at their Depot out near the Perth International Airport. The KM's had not changed from when I left her in Melb, so only a couple of hundred metres of driving all up.

I was going to go CEVA but heard a horror story on another forum where his car got thrashed to shit and they are still refusing to accept any liability for the damage to the car. Not much to go on, and everyone else seems to have had good experiences with them, but I went with AutoTrans and am glad that I did.

The car won't be all that clean (externally) when it arrives (but then again I don't let anyone clean my cars) and there shouldn't be any possibility of having stuff stolen as they make you remove everything possible.

Thanks all, I'll get some more quotes, so I can compare to CEVA. Cost is one thing, but its more the 'warm fuzzy' that I'm looking for, re condition of cars, the fact they dont drive them, look after them, etc.

And Josh, epic road trip hasnt yet been scratched, Im just looking at the 2 possibilities. Ill do a rough chart of diesel price vs fuel economy vs distance, work out an approximate for fuel/accom/supplies to do the drive, and see then if its better to drive it, or truck it.

Brent.
